Symposium Introduction

This symposium offers a platform for presenting cutting-edge advancements in the science and engineering of actinide elements and related materials. The topics can be broadly categorized into the following areas:

  • Actinide materials science, including the aging and corrosion of actinide metals, the detection and characterization technologies of actinide materials, as well as computational studies and simulations of actinide materials.
  • Actinide physics, including heavy fermion systems, magnetic systems, and the unique properties of plutonium and uranium.
  • Actinide chemistry, including coordination chemistry and organometallic chemistry.
